As promised, the girls got to make an art project after sleeping last night. They made 'rain sticks' out of paper towel tubes. We poked toothpicks through them, put paper caps on one end, filled with beans (Kate counted out hers as she put them in--50 even, I couldn't have done that if I tried. She has never counted above thirty before so she tried to say 20-11teen.). Then we covered the other end, wrapped in paper and let them go to town with stickers.
Fast, fun, easy, and a nice quiet evening for me. Though not so much quiet now--there's a lot of bean shaking going on!
